Regina Girten
Wesley Fellowship Campus Minister
Rev. Regina Girten holds a Bachelor’s degree from Belmont University and a Master’s from Memphis Theological Seminary. Raised in New Orleans, LA, she now lives in Lebanon with her husband, Jeff, and their two daughters, Evie Mae and Eliza Hope.
In 2022, Regina founded the Volunteer Network of Wilson County, a nonprofit organization connecting residents with meaningful service opportunities while supporting local nonprofits, churches, schools, and community organizations. Under her leadership, the Volunteer Network has connected thousands of volunteers with projects that strengthen and serve the community and has expanded disaster response efforts through the launch of Wilson County’s VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster).
Regina has previously held church leadership roles in Youth and Children’s Ministry, Missions and Outreach (including a South African child sponsorship program), Volunteer Management, and Unhoused Ministry. Before entering full-time ministry, Regina co-founded Firefleyes, a nonprofit supporting arts and sports programs in Sierra Leone, West Africa, as well as serving in community leadership roles, such as co-chairing Recover Wilson County after the 2020 tornado and serving on the board of Grace and Glory, which supports educational opportunities in Haiti.
Regina is excited to serve as the Wesley Fellowship Campus Minister at Cumberland University, where she looks forward to walking alongside students in faith, leadership, service, and community. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve at Lebanon FUMC in this ministry and to help nurture the next generation of disciples.
